Sucker Punch Kickboxing CIC Charity Event!
Charity Event! A Morning of Calm & Connection Fighting Stress Family Sound Meditation a calm and safe space for children and their adults to try
We are a club founded on the belief that anyone can enjoy martial arts. Do you want to start something new but not sure where to start? Check out our classes below and get in touch to start your kickboxing journey.
We have created a curriculum that ensures that everyone has the opportunity to grade, including our 6-10 year old members.
Where a student has a disability or limiting movement, every step will be taken to ensure the student will have the chance to demonstrate understanding of techniques and application. This may mean a scalable option is put in place and/or extra verbal, visual or other methods for demonstration are used to show that the students have an understanding.
Pete, one of our instructors, has completed SENCO training so we can offer inclusive training for all.
Wednesday Evenings
4.15pm – 5pm
Thursday Evenings
5pm – 6pm
A great class to have an introduction to martial arts.
Giving you a good workout, whilst simplifying techniques for those that are unsure of what to do. We only cover 1-2 techniques per class, but make sure you walk out feeling as sure as you can be of how to perform these to the max.
Our beginners class is available to anyone 11 years and older.
Wednesday Evenings
5.30pm – 6.30pm
11 years + and adults kickboxing class. General techniques and applications. May contain different techniques across the curriculum such as: wrestling, kickboxing, Muay Thai, boxing and more.
This class is scalable to suit all abilities. Whilst this is a slightly faster paced class than the beginners, every effort is made to accommodate each person.
11 years and above.
In addition to these classes we make sure that everyone has the opportunity to grade.

Thursday Evenings
6.15pm – 7.15pm
Class to help improve reactions, fitness, technique and just have fun playing around with martial arts. Sparring does not mean that you have to have contact. We firmly believe that contact is completely optional. You can spar at your own rate.
It is mandatory to bring a mouth guard with you for sparring. We have all the other protective gear you will need (except groin guards).
We also recommend you take out kickboxing insurance to ensure you are covered for any accidents that may occur.
Tuesday Evenings
7.15pm – 8.30pm
Sparring is available during all Open Mats too
Open to members only. Members may bring a plus one if they wish. This is an informal class where people can turn up and do extra training or ask for help with techniques. There is no lesson plan but help will be provided if needed.
Every wednesday evening and every other Saturday we offer open mats. This is a great time to go through your grading syllabus, practice sparring, put in some extra training or try something new like grappling.
Wednesday Evenings
6.45pm – 7.45pm
Every other Saturday
10.30am – 12pm
We have created a syllabus that has been accredited with BMABA for those who wish to grade. We ensure that those who are ready to grade get to every 3 months until they reach the higher belts, where time before gradings is paramount. All belts have been well earnt.
At Sucker Punch Kickboxing we make sure that everyone has the opportunity to grade. Where a student has a disability or limiting movement, every step will be taken to ensure the student will have the chance to demonstrate understanding of techniques and application. This may mean a scalable option is put in place and/or extra verbal, visual or other methods for demonstration are used to show that the students have an understanding.
We hold gradings roughly every 3 months depending on your belt. For example, there has to be atleast 6 months between higher grades so you can develop the knowledge and understanding required.
This membership is for 6 – 10 year olds. This membership also includes access to open mats at no extra cost.
This membership is for 11 years and older for 1 class a week. Also includes access to open mats at no extra cost.
This membership allows anyone 11 years and older to attend as many age appropriate classes and open mats they want to attend.
This membership gains you access to the club and use of its facilities 24/7 including all of the age appropriate classes you can attend. Only for 18+.
Not sure when you are free to come to classes? Then you can pay as you go.
1 hour of personal instruction. Please make the instructor aware of what you wish to learn or work on prior to attending. If you don’t, discussion time is part of the hour.
Here a few questions and answers you might have with regards to our club or kickboxing in general. Please get in touch if you’d like to find out more and join us for two free classes.
Not only is it great exercise for the whole body, it helps to stimulate the mind – having to think under “pressured” situations, learning spacial awareness and communication.
We are proud of the community of like-minded people we are cultivating here at Sucker Punch – we love to help and support people on their journey.
We have a wide range of membership prices to choose from depending on what people want out of their training including 1-1 tuition to unlimited packages. Please see above or our memberships page for our pricing.
Whilst it isn’t a legal requirement, yet. We would always recommend that you take out insurance. We have two insurance packages available to members from BMABA that cover different elements from a basic insurance at £10 a year to injury cover at £25 a year.
No. Grading is not manditory to be part of our club and is available to members who wish to grade. We have developed a recognised syllabus that has been accredited by BMABA for members who would like to grade.
No problem. We have a wide range of people who attend sparring who prefer different levels of contact from no contact to hard. Every round there is a discussion between everyone as to the contact each person would like – going with the lightest contact (including no contact) someone requests. This also includes things like sweeps, elbows and knees etc.
This is meant to be fun!
Yes. If you are interested in trying out our club before joining then we offer new members two free sessions so you can try before you sign up.
